Collaborative Governance in the Field of Public Administration
活動簡介
Through international corporations, Professor Liu has courageously transcended disciplinary boundaries to integrate knowledge and advance the field of public administration. Her research bridges the gap between internet communication technology (ICT) and public engagement behavior.
Building on previous foundation, her latest 2024 study, published in the Journal of Public Administration (TSSCI), established an analytical model for crowdsourcing, providing insight into the determinants of digital contact tracing technologies in Taiwan during the COVID-19 pandemic [1]. Additionally, another study investigates gender bias issues in adopting AI technologies for analyzing crowd data, exploring both perpetuation and mitigation [2]. This article has already garnered significant attention with 13,000 views.
Professor Liu's nonprofit research in Asia has received international recognition, leading to an invitation to form an international Asian Research Group [3]. Her work was also referenced in the Common Wealth Magazine Special Issue on Island Resilience [4], which highlighted her recent findings on the positive relationship between nonprofit participation and political participation in Asia, using data from the Asian Barometer Survey across twelve countries (N=25,348).
On June 2024, she hosted the 25th dgo conference under the theme “Internet of Beings: Transforming Public Governance” at the National Taiwan University. The conference was attended by over 160 participants from 34 countries and regions in Europe, North and South America, and Asia, such as Anguilla, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and West Africa.
