Introduction to the event

Dr. Hsiao-Han Chang’s group combines mathematical modeling, epidemiological data analysis, and pathogen genomic analysis to understand the spread of pathogens to provide insights into public health policy. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Chang’s group used mathematical models and statistical analysis to infer disease spread and quantify the impact of various disease control methods and assessed the effect of COVID-19 on other infectious diseases based on genomic data.
