Introduction to the event

The results of Prof. Du's visit are remarkable. With the guidance of Prof. Du, the achievement of each sub-project could be output accurately and practically, which makes the project output more usable in the industry. At the same time, Prof. Du continuously gave suggestions, helping NCTU produce more and higher-quality papers. Lastly, under the guidance of Professor Du, the world ’s first and currently the only open source core network, free5GC stage 2, which confirm with the 3GPP R15 standard was released, and the "Communication Service/Software Laboratory" was also established. Not only free5GC is widely used in the international industry and academia now, but also the research center constantly receives international cooperation invitation. The research center also has a lot of international members recruited, which will effectively improve the visibility of NCTU and increase its international status.
