Introduction to the event

Prof. Redouane Borsali, appointed as Yushan Fellow at National Taiwan University (NTU), has made significant contributions to advancing green materials science and technology. His collaboration with NTU’s Department of Chemical Engineering and the Advanced Research Center for Green Materials Science and Technology (ARC-GMST) has focused on biomass-based block copolymers for applications in electronic devices, circular economy, and sustainable materials.

From 2022 to 2025, Prof. Borsali has co-published more than 10 high-impact journal articles (Adv. Mater., Macromolecules, Carbohydrate Polymers, etc.) and supervised joint PhD programs between NTU and Université Grenoble Alpes. He organized key international events, including the 1st CNRS-NTU Chemistry Workshop (2024, Grenoble) and industry-focused forums bridging Taiwan and France (with Nanpao, ITRI, and Far Eastern Group as participants).

His efforts also established the NTU–UGA–UT Trilateral Center (2025–2029), strengthening academic exchanges between Taiwan, France, and Japan. Beyond research, Prof. Borsali delivered lectures at NTU and NTHU, mentored graduate students, and initiated projects integrating green polymers with advanced applications such as stretchable bioelectronics, wearable devices, and memory technologies.

These accomplishments not only reinforced NTU’s international reputation in sustainable materials but also promoted Taiwan’s leadership role in green technology innovation and industry-academia collaboration.
