Introduction to the event
Since being appointed as the Yushan Young Fellow (Aug. 1st 2021 to present, 4 years), Prof. Lin has (1) published 60 articles in peer-reviewed international journals, 1 invited book chapter for Wiley on AI for materials discovery, and 2 invited articles in Chinese, (2) delivered a total of 39 invited/keynote/plenary presentations, (3) made a total of 94 contributed presentations at domestic and international conferences (i.e., 66 and 28, respectively, mostly by Prof. Lin’s students with some by collaborators where Prof. Lin and his students (if any) were contributed authors), (4) received several awards/honors that recognize his research work such as the 2024 Outstanding Young Scholar Award from the Taiwan Theoretical and Computational Molecular Sciences Association, 2023 Academic Advancement Award (學術勵進獎) from the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers, 2023 Ta-You Wu Memorial Award (吳大猷先生紀念獎) from the National Science and Technology Council, 2023 PCCP Emerging Investigator Lectureship Award from the Royal Society of Chemistry, 2022 Young Scholar Award from the Taiwan Membrane Society, 2022 Outstanding Young Scholar from the LCY Education Foundation, I&EC Research 2021 Class of Influential Researchers, 2021 AIChE Futures, as well as being including in the World’s Top 2% of Scientists List for the past four consecutive years (2021-2024), (5) received 2025 and 2024“Excellence in Teaching Award (教學優良獎)” from National Taiwan University, and (6) provided services to the international research community such as serving as an Editor for the prestigious Chemical Engineering Journal (Elsevier), an Editorial Board Member for the prestigious journal - Separation and Purification Technology (Elsevier), session chairs and judges for international conferences, and journal reviewers.
