Introduction to the event

This NSTC workshop “Chemistry Meets Machine Learning” was organized by the National Science and Technology Council. I am one of the co-organizers. It was held on June 15, 2023 at the Po Lecture Hall of the Institute of Atomic and molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica. The attendees of this workshop are professors and researchers from the chemistry division of the department of natural sciences of NSTC. There were over 100 attendees.

The workshop included a Keynote, two lectures with hands-on sessions each imp, a software demonstration session, and several user experiences sharing sessions. I was one of the speakers of the lectures and the hands-on session was demonstrated by my master student Zhi-Hang Lee. We showed pioneering applications of famed generative AI models in chemistry.
