Introduction to the event

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the second-year plan of Yushan scholar Professor Chih-Kang Shih was postponed for two years to 2021. The visiting period of second-year is from July 11 to August 16, November 13 to December 18, 2022 and on May 25, 2023. The achievements/activities of Professor Shih's visit are listed shortly as follows:

1. During the visit, Professor Shih shared information on 2D semiconductor materials with the postdoctoral fellows and graduate students of Professor Shangjr Gwo research team, which benefited both parties.

2. Co-published a book with Professor Gwo Shangjr, and several papers are yet to be submitted for publication.

3. Professor Shih has research cooperation relationship with Professor Jui-Bin Hsu from the Department of Physics. Professor Shi and Professor Hsu jointly collaborated on one journal paper, which was published in April 2023.

4. Professor Shih and Professor Wei-Ting Hsu from the Department of Physics continued the topic of cooperation during the previous visit, and published 2 international journal papers.

5. Professor Shih gave a speech on August 4, 2022 during this visit.
