Introduction to the event
We discussed how to observe pair density wave (PDW) in cuprate using RIXS and how it compares with other tools such as STM.
The effort on charge order and the associated PWD in cuprate has been going on for a while. One of the achievements is the elucidation of quantum critical fluctuations associated with charge order in cuprate superconductors by RIXS and which was published in a high impact journal Phy. Rev. X: Phys. Rev. X 11, 041038 (2021).
