活動簡介
| My research agenda develops cross-disciplinary operations management at the intersection of supply chains, innovation, finance, and sustainability, with outputs in Production and Operations Management (POM) and the Journal of Corporate Finance (JCF). Specifically, my research combines empirical analysis, analytical modeling, and large-scale datasets to examine how firms build operational capabilities, respond to disruptions, and manage financial and relational risks across supply chains. The first research stream examines how firms create value through interorganizational networks and operational resources. Earlier work published in Production and Operations Management studies how internal operations-integrating information technology interacts with firms’ positions in competitive networks to influence innovation efficiency and operating performance. Related research investigates how firms respond strategically to competitors’ product recalls and how corporate social responsibility can function as intangible capital that enhances resilience to external disruptions. During Year 2, this agenda expanded further into supply chain finance and resilience. A newly accepted paper in Production and Operations Management, “The Hidden World of Trade Credit: The Flexibility Role of Late Payments,” examines firms’ actual repayment behavior using supplier-reported late-payment records. The study distinguishes flexibility-driven from distress-driven delays and shows that short payment delays can provide operational financing flexibility, whereas persistent delays are more closely associated with supplier enforcement and relationship deterioration. This work extends conventional supply-chain-finance research by showing that payment timing itself is an important operational decision. International collaboration has also been a central component of the project. I hosted a Dutch research team at National Chengchi University and organized the Symposium on Supply Chain Resilience in December 2025. The symposium brought together scholars from Taiwan and the Netherlands to examine semiconductor supply chains, trade credit, interorganizational trust, human–algorithm collaboration, data analytics, and high-tech manufacturing. During Year 2, I also conducted research visits and academic exchanges with leading institutions in Europe, the United States, and Asia. Collectively, these research, mentoring, and internationalization activities strengthen NCCU’s research capacity and international visibility in supply chain management, sustainable operations, and cross-disciplinary management research. |
